OUR TERROIR

Terroir is where nature and craftsmanship come together to create wines and sensory experiences with a truly unique character.

Shaped by 32-million-year-old asteriated limestone, our soil is a geological treasure, rich in marine fossils and essential trace elements. This rare, living soil offers a perfect balance of moisture and temperature, allowing our vines to flourish fully. It is key to achieving optimal ripeness and a distinctive aromatic expression in our grapes.

While nature lays the foundation, the winemaker unlocks its full potential. They see each vintage as a new adventure, a one-of-a-kind masterpiece shaped by nature’s whims, never quite the same.

Each year, they must navigate ever-changing conditions, carefully observing and understanding the evolution of each vat to craft the most harmonious blends at every stage.

SOIL AND CLIMATE

While Bordeaux’s vineyards contain fragments of asteriated limestone in their soils, only our estate, alongside a few Grands Crus from Saint-Émilion, is fortunate enough to rest directly on a vast, continuous layer of this unique limestone. Our vine's roots are buried deep into this natural treasure, crafting a terroir that imparts unparalleled finesse and concentration to our wines.
